Olympic gold medalist Todd Rogers has been the head coach of the Cal Poly women’s beach volleyball program since February 2016.
Previously, he was assistant men’s volleyball coach at UC Santa Barbara (2000-05). He has also served on the USA Volleyball Audit, Finance & Budget Committee and is a two-time Olympian. He won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games with partner Phil Dalhausser. He has career earnings of more than $2 million that includes 24 FIVB victories, two NORCECA victories and 54 domestic victories.
Known for his defense, he was tabbed FIVB Best Defensive Player four times between 2006 and 2010 along with FIVB Best Setter in 2005. He was also AVP Best Defensive Player every year between 2004-2008.
Rogers and Dalhausser were selected FIVB Team of the Year in 2010 after winning the FIVB Tour Champion award with nine tour titles. The duo also set an FIVB record in 2010 for most wins in a season. He and Dalhausser won the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2007 and were AVP Crocs Cup Champions in 2006 and 2007.
Rogers played collegiate indoor volleyball at UC Santa Barbara where he ranks second in both digs and assists and was a two-time All-American selection.
